Any players who have played online poker has undoubtedly experience such situation like someone has a better hand while someone else plays stupidly but then ends up winning instead. Every time something like this happens, most probably there are lots of rude bantering going on in the chat box with people grumbling that there is something in the game that something like that will never happen in the real world.
Is cheating really exists in online poker? Are there instances where it is played too far from the real poker game? Is this really the reason behind the great loss of money for those unlucky players every time they play? Maybe, but then, the fact that they are losing because of being not good enough in the game that they gambled to would always be one of the reasons that is hard to accept.
Since online poker is just a poker game done in the internet where the players log on to their computers to participate in the game, moves and rules done in the game are also the same. Though one is done in the real world and the other on the virtual world, nothing changes the fact that both deals with poker and they will follow the same guidelines that are needed in the game.
However, there are certain reasons on why there seems to be more bad beats in the online game than on the real one. One of these is that more hands are playing. Online poker moves far faster and many times, it even goes more than that. If you would compare the game online than that in casinos, you would clearly see the difference on the numbers of hands that are playing.
A statistics showing that out of ten hands playing, one will end up a bad beat is very possible on online poker. This shows that online poker game players are more prone into bad beats. Compared to playing in a casino where one bad beat an hour is likely to occur, having it online doubles or even triples the unwanted chance.
The other reason these bad beats keep popping up on the internet is because there are more players willing to take greater risks. Sometimes this is because they are simply in the mood to take risks, and sometimes they just don’t know what they are doing is considered risky. They take the risks because there is no pressure to “play properly” as there would be when sitting at a live poker table. Anonymity makes this so.
Paying on poker rooms is a way more expensive choice than just doing it online. Many people still take the risk of online poker because they would rather gamble at their own homes and at their own convenience than do it in too costly casinos.
Online poker may be easily involved with cheating issues because of the mere fact that it is done online. Meaning the players are just there outside the computer monitor and is only waiting for things to move compared to the real world game where people can actually see the real person that is drawing the real cards.
Cheating has been known to happen online though, so ruling it out completely isn’t possible. Still, chances are if you or someone else is seeing a lot of unlikely things happening at the table, it’s probably because of any of the above reasons.
