Dominoe is a very well known game not only in Puerto Rico, but also in all Spanish civilizations and in the Caribbean Islands. It’s a real pastime and it is really loved and played by people of any age.
Inside this site you will understand how to play dominoe the way I was taught to play it by my mom and dad. The way Puerto Ricans play the game. I will have extra post on how to play dominos with different rules and ways to play dominoe.
You’re going to need a domino set. The regular set is the double 6 domino set with 28 dominoe. To play the game you’re going to need a minimum of 2 game players and a maximum of four players. Here we shall concentrate on a four player game. When there are 4 (four) players, you play as partners. The player on to the front side of you is your game partner. The gamers on your right and left of you are your rival.
All dominoes are shuffled face down. Each individual player takes in 7 (seven) dominoes. Each participant keeps back his or her dominos secret to themselves. You must keep your dominoes secret. Try not to let anyone else see your dominoe, as well as your partner.
In the first game of a match, the player who holds the double 6 kicks off the game. That’s only done on the first hand. The winning game player of the first hand and each winner right after can start the hand with any dominoe they want. It can also be a double or another dominoes.
When the first dominoes is displayed, the next player to our opener’s RIGHT throws a dominoe. The following gamer can either draw or pass in the event that they don’t have a matching dominos. The Dominoe keeps going counter-clockwise.
The dominoes layout always has 2 open ends. When playing a dominoe, you must place it on one of the long end of the dominoe. The dominoe is not play in the middle of the dominos, only the long end. All domino played will have to be played to a free end and must match numbers. i.e. a 3 must be played to a 3, a 5 to a 5, and so on.
If a player does not possess a matching number to play, they need to take a pass to the following gamer. The dominos game finishes when the last dominoes is played, or in the event the game is locked (the game can no longer continue).
Whenever the game finishes, you collect all unplayed domino. All remaining points are awarded to the winning players. When the game is locked, All players join their points. the team with the smallest amount of points wins the hand and combines points from both teams for final score. You are able to play a 150, 250, or 500 point game. 1st team to reach the arranged points wins.
