When the game is young, most players will bet toward drawing a pair, high cards or any combination adding up to a high score. With this in mind, attention must be paid, and close attention at that, to which cards other players are holding and go for the pot only if you fail to obtain an ace or better in your first three draws. Since the game is somewhat conservative, every opportunity is given to the bluff.
